Biography
Laura serves as the Administrative Staff member for the UAH Counseling Center, where she plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of the center and fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, faculty, staff, and the broader campus community. She is passionate about creating meaningful connections and ensuring that every individual who engages with the Counseling Center feels valued, respected, and supported from their first point of contact. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. She brings more than five years of experience in administrative support, operations, and client services across a variety of settings, including higher education, behavioral health, K–12 education, and nonprofit organizations. Her diverse professional background has provided her with a strong understanding of the importance of organization, communication, confidentiality, and compassionate service in supporting individuals and communities. Throughout her career, Laura has developed expertise in administrative coordination, event planning, outreach initiatives, communications, and organizational management. She is skilled at managing complex processes, supporting collaborative teams, and creating efficient systems that allow organizations to better serve their communities. Laura is committed to approaching her work with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine desire to help others. Through her attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and dedication to service, she contributes to the Counseling Center’s mission of promoting student well-being and providing accessible, supportive resources for the UAH community.
