Biography
I am an Associate Licensed Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, currently pursuing licensure in
the state of Alabama. I have been a counselor with the UAH Counseling Center since March 2022. I
earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Addictions and Recovery from The
University of Alabama in May 2017. I continued on at The University of Alabama to pursue a Master’s
degree in Counselor Education-Clinical Mental Health Counseling until completion in May 2020, as well
as a second Master’s degree in Women’s Studies that I completed in December 2021.
I completed my Masters level internship with UA’s Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services, where
my passion for working with college students emerged. My time with CRIS provided me with experience
working with substance abuse and misuse, as well as a variety of clinical presenting concerns within the
student population. This experience led me to seek an opportunity to support students in a Higher
Education environment.
My approach to counseling focuses on supporting a client by walking with them through their
experiences, while providing space and resources for them to feel empowered to explore new
awareness and difficult emotions.
