Lavanya Ashokkumar, Ph.D. LECTURER Contact 320 Sparkman DriveCramer Research HallRoom 3048Huntsville, AL 35899 Campus Map firstname.lastname@example.org Biography Dr. Ashokkumar is interested in understanding how fast glaciers move (dynamics) and how much glaciers melt (mass loss) contributes to sea-level rise. To effectively quantify the complex processes of glacier dynamics and mass loss, she uses a variety of techniques such as remote sensing (optical, synthetic aperture radar, gravimetry), numerical modeling and geospatial analysis. She is particularly interested in knowing the response of mountain glaciers in the Arctic and High mountain Asia to global temperature increases.
