Research: Solar Wind

Model ion acceleration at the Stream Interaction Regions (SIR) and Corotating Interaction Regions (CIR) associated shocks, model ion transport and diffusion in the solar wind, from the SIR/CIR-associated shocks to the observer (which often located within 1 AU). Develop a Kinetic Energetic Particle Precipitation code that addresses the penetration of the Solar Energetic Particles (SEPs) and Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) to the Earth's magnetosphere.
