Biography

I completed my Ph.D. in Physics from the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, India, where I worked on the numerical simulations of solar transient events, focusing on understanding the magnetic relaxation process during solar flares. The energy released during solar flares is expected to relax the magnetic field configuration and hence, such energetic events merit interest from the perspective of relaxation theory. To investigate the underlying magnetofluid dynamics in transient phenomena, I use imaging observations, extrapolation of the solar magnetic field, and MHD simulations using the EULAG-MHD framework, employing both analytical and extrapolated magnetic fields as initial conditions. Presently, I am also interested in the energetics of solar flares, focusing on what governs the amount of energy to be released in these events.
