Dr. Samira Tasnim

Biography

Dr. Samira Tasnim’s research interest focuses mainly on the inner and outer heliospheric solar wind and space weather, especially, data-driven magnetohydrodynamic models, simulations, mapping magnetic field lines, and comparisons with observations of the solar wind plasma quantities and magnetic fields. She has research experience in the field of Dusty Plasma as a part of her MSc thesis, and she continued this work while she was working as a lecturer at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Dr. Tasnim joined the Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research (CSPAR) at UAH as a postdoctoral research assistant III in January 2019. Currently, she is working on the scattering of the radio waves and its angular broadening using Voyager and Parker Solar Probe data.
