All training required for work and research is determined by supervisors based on the hazards present in work areas and job duties.  After this determination, the supervisor ensures their faculty and staff receive broad training through the OEHS and task-specific training through the respective department. 

OEHS maintains the online safety training documentation and OEHS classroom training. OEHS will provide a copy to the department administrative assistant or upon request of the employee.

OEHS has transitioned all EHS training to Percipio, an online training software. If you have received an email regarding Percipio safety training you can access your account via the link below.

First Aid/CPR/AED Classes

OEHS currently provides monthly First Aid/CPR/AED classes through the American Red Cross for UAH employees only. Classes are typically held twice a month from 9:30am to 12:30pm in Shelbie King Hall 127. Class sizes are usually no larger than 9 participants, but this can be expanded to 12 at our discretion. Course Registration Instructions:

  • Sign up for an available class date using the CPR Training Request Form. OEHS will review the submission and send an invitation to your UAH email. This invitation will serve as your confirmation of the class date and time. 
  • Make sure you confirm the invite no later than 2 days prior to the class date. If you do not confirm your attendance by that deadline your registration will be canceled.
  • CPR classes cost $60 per participant. Payment will be made through a budget transfer after the class has been conducted.
  • If you fail to attend the class you have registered for or attempt to cancel within 48 hours of the class date after having confirmed your attendance you will still be charged the full amount for the class.
