Promotion and tenure emeritus awards 2025.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) announced awards of tenure and/or promotion for 22 faculty members and recognized eight others who were granted emeritus status over the past year at the University Awards for Excellence celebration on May 1. UAH is a part of The University of Alabama System.

The tenure and promotion awards begin with the 2025-26 academic year. These faculty members include three who were promoted to professor, eight who were awarded tenure and promotion to associate professor, three promotions to clinical associate professor, one promotion to librarian IV, one promotion to librarian II, and six promotions to senior lecturer.

“These newly promoted and tenured faculty have achieved high levels of excellence in the areas of teaching, research and service,” said Dr. David Puleo, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “They are a tribute to the faculty who recruited them, mentored them and encouraged them along the way.”
