COVID Policy for the Meeting

The Myrtle Beach, SC area is also at a High level for COVID. This is of obvious concern to many of us because we will be a reasonably sizable group, in for several days. Some of us may have conditions that make COVID a high-risk infection regardless of vaccination status (including the fact that some of us are in an older demographic!), many of us have important travel and similar activities in the next month or two, there are likely to be family gatherings at which older and possibly immunocompromised members may be attending, and so on. For these reasons, I want to err on the side of caution during the upcoming CPU2AL Annual Retreat and Annual Meeting.

  1. Prior to the meeting, I would like everyone to take an at-home COVID test. If you test negative, you are welcome to attend the meeting. If not, please do not attend the meeting, and I strongly suggest contacting your doctor or health provider and quarantining.
  2. Please wear masks during the meeting at all times unless speaking at the podium i.e. When at the tables in a group setting, please continue to wear masks while in discussions – in smaller groups, we can understand one another. And of course, please wear the masks correctly (over mouth and nose).
  3. Obviously, while eating and drinking, masks can come off but I suggest not leaving them off for very long and I also suggest that you utilize the space available as best you can to ensure some level of personal spacing.

We will have a limited supply of masks available so please bring your own masks if possible.
