Admission Requirements for Atmospheric Earth Science
APPLY FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION
In addition to fulfilling admission requirements set by Graduate School, applicants must also have
1.a. Calculus sequence (including the calculus of vector-valued functions), Linear algebra, Applied differential
equations, and two semesters of calculus-based physics (ATS MS and PhD).
b. Two semesters of calculus, and two semesters of calculus-based physics (ESS MS).
2. Demonstrable computer proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.
3. Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on the undergraduate record.
4. Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters should be from instructors, capstone advisors, or project managers who can attest to your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Letters should be submitted via the graduate school application, but can also be sent to aes-chair@uah.edu.
Additional Information
- For priority consideration of a graduate research assistantship (GRA) or graduate teaching assistantship (GTA), apply on or before January 1 (For Fall start).
