Admission Requirements for Atmospheric Earth Science


In addition to fulfilling admission requirements set by Graduate School, applicants must also have

1. Complete the Atmospheric and Earth Science Department form. Email form to

2.a. Calculus sequence (including the calculus of vector-valued functions), Linear algebra, Applied differential 

       equations, and two semesters of calculus-based physics (ATS MS and PhD).

   b. Two semesters of calculus, and two semesters of calculus-based physics (ESS MS).

3. Demonstrable computer proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.

4. Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on the undergraduate record.

5. Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters should be from instructors, capstone advisors, or project managers who can attest to your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Send letters directly to
