The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will begin the spring 2024 semester with an open house on Friday, Jan. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon in the lobby of Wilson Hall on the campus of UAH, a part of the University of Alabama System. Classes start Jan. 29 and run through the first week of May.

“Spring brings another semester full of fun, fellowship, and the pursuit of wisdom and new skills,” says Clay Williams, OLLI at UAH program manager.

“We are excited to offer plenty of past favorites as well as some new courses such as ‘An Introduction to J.R.R. Tolkien,’ ‘Beginning Ukulele,’ ‘What Makes Computers Tick’ and ‘Trends in Presidential Elections.’ Whether your interest is history, literature, computers, fitness or music, we have something for everyone.”

Current and prospective OLLI members, family, friends and the community are invited to learn more about the group and register for the spring term. OLLI is open to ages 50 and up.

Guests can meet OLLI staff, instructors and members of the curriculum committee; check out the facilities, and find out more about the 70 courses on the spring schedule. New and returning members can pick up their UAH parking permit at the event. There will be door prizes, too.
