The winners for the 2019-2020 Photo Contest: Things that Can Fly will be announced on The OLLI Insider August Issue. We thank all the participants for entering our contest and we hope you join next year's. The OLLI 2020-2021 Photo Contest theme will be released soon.

It's a Bird! It's a Plane - Think of all the possibilities!
Birds, butterflies and other insects.  Planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, kites.

Submission Deadline: April 1, 2020

Entry Guidelines


  • Theme: Things That Can Fly
  • Open to all current OLLI members
  • Submit up to three (3) entries
  • Timeframe: April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020
  • Images can be captured with any type camera, phone or other device
  • Gentle photo editing is permitted but keep the original photo
  • Photos must be submitted in a standard digital .jpg format
  • Recommend at least 2 Megapixels (MP) final pixel size
  • Color photos are preferred but not required
  • Name your photo
  • Photos must not have identifying/copyright marks
  • No recognizable persons please

Give some information about the photo, where you took it and the date.

1st Place: Tuition for OLLI Fall 2020 Term ($99 value)

2nd Place: One year OLLI Membership, plus $25 Gift certificate ($51 value)

3rd Place: One year OLLI Membership ($25 value)

Please note that entering your photo gives Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH and UAH permission to use your name and photo for the OLLI web site, catalog, newsletter, or any publications pertaining to the photo contest. You will be emailed a release form after your photograph is submitted and your photo will not be eligible for judging until the signed release form is received.
