According to the National Science Foundation's annual HERD survey, UAH ranks #15 in NASA-funded physical science research expenditures.

Dr. Sharifa Love-Rutledge

Dr. Sharifa Love-Rutledge has been named to a list of “1,000 Inspiring Black Scientists". Her area of special research at UAH includes diabetes and insulin resistance, as well as cognitive decline and aging.
