Helpful UAH Offices

  • Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP): Required for official proposal submissions and the budgets thereof, OSP is the first step in the management of projects and contracts. Researchers should contact their OSP representative as the first step of proposal development.
  • Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Assessment (OIREA): OIREA provides information about UAH from internal campus units as well as from state and federal agencies, accrediting bodies, college guides, and the general public. They can provide data about UAH that is necessary for certain agencies’ research-funding programs, such as demographic data on student populations or graduation and retention rates, with customized breakdowns of the data relevant to your project.
  • Research Compliance: The Office of The Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPRED) provides internal oversight on Research Compliance relating to human and animal research performance, conflict of interest, scientific misconduct, and export control. Researchers proposing projects that involve animal or human subjects must first have the prior review and approval of the Institutional Review Board and/or the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
