OPD has launched the Proposal PM service, intended to encourage UAH research personnel to submit large, multi-million-dollar, multi-party proposals. In addition to OPD’s typical services—providing helpful development documents to assist the proposal, strategizing the execution of the proposal, helping you formulate your best arguments and strategically place them within the proposal structure, and assisting in finding partners on campus as well as off campus (when possible)—your Proposal PM from OPD will: create calendars/schedules with imbedded soft due dates for you and your team members’ documents; perform file and document management, initiating the request of necessary documents from you and your team members and then organize and keep all necessary documents in their draft, edited, and final forms; attend and even coordinate/set up meetings for you (if desired); and attend program webinars on your behalf. Your OPD Proposal PM will be with you every step of the way to declutter the process, thereby freeing your attention to the “meat” of these large, ambitious research efforts. Motivation OPD has created this initiative to encourage you to spearhead those large efforts that can benefit your research at UAH and that may have seemed too daunting or a bit too complex to achieve in the past. With this OPD Proposal PM initiative, we aim to give you the confidence that your proposals for large, multi-entity, long-term research efforts can be managed with precision.
