Biography

Carl "Bo" Gardner is the lean continuous improvement leader for GE Aerospace. He has over 20 years of experience in lean implementation, operations management, supply chain, logistics and quality management in the automotive, aerospace and consumer product industries. He implemented A3 reporting techniques, improved process flows, VSM, and LCA and mentored Six Sigma Black Belts. The results from the implementation of lean systems include over $4.5 MM in savings from improvements in labor, scrap, energy, raw materials and obsolescence; with labor productivity improved by 24%.

Mr. Gardner holds a master of science in business management and a bachelor of science in operations management and supervision. He is Six Sigma Black Belt (S.S.B.B.) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified from UAH. Mr. Gardner also has extensive training in leadership development and coaching. He has taught for the UAH Office of Professional and Continuing Education (OPCE) for over 15 years. Before becoming the lean continuous improvement leader for GE Aerospace, he held positions at BASF, PPG Aerospace and Continental.
