
The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers an interdisciplinary 18-hour Graduate Certificate in User Experience, hosted by the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. This certificate prepares students for careers in user experience (UX), which involves understanding users and designing better technologies, products, and services to meet users’ needs. UX professionals conduct research, design prototypes, test products, and organize information, all to ensure that users’ needs are met. This certificate provides students both foundational knowledge in UX and the opportunity to take electives in the many different disciplines that contribute to user experience knowledge and practice.

Students who wish to earn the Graduate Certificate in User Experience must be admitted to the Graduate School. No more than six credit hours taken at another institution may be applied to the certificate.
