Spring 2023 Audition Information Is Here! Auditions for Hair and Spark Staged Reading Series On Tuesday, January 10th, and Wednesday, January 11th from 7-9 pm come to the Morton Hall Black Box to audition for the Spring season. Auditions are open to all, including UAH students, faculty, and staff, and community members. January 12th, 7-9 pm will be reserved for dance and movement callbacks for Hair. For the callbacks, please wear clothing you can move in, and dance shoes or sneakers are required, no bare feet! Theatre majors and minors need to prepare a 1-minute contemporary monologue and 16 bars or 30 seconds of a song in the rock style of Hair. Your audition date and time is January 10th at 6 pm. Google Form and Calendar Time Slot links will be available soon. All other auditionees If you are auditioning for Hair, please prepare 16 bars or 30 seconds of a song in the rock style of Hair. All singers must bring their own sheet music for the accompanist. Be prepared for additional vocalization. If you are auditioning for the staged reading, you will be given a monologue to read. Rehearsal and Show Dates: Spark Staged Reading Series Rehearsals – will occur four or five times over the course of mid-January to mid-February, depending on the availability of the actors in the Spark ensemble. The play will be chosen based on the actors in the Spark ensemble and will not be memorized. The play may include controversial content and language.
