Deputy Quinton McDuffie is currently a Fugitive Task Force Deputy at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy McDuffie has been in Law Enforcement for 6 years. Deputy McDuffie has been in a plethora of roles in Law Enforcement such as; Juvenile Courts, Corrections, Patrolman, Street Crimes/Fugitive Task Force.
Deputy McDuffie completed his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina in 2013. Deputy McDuffie Starred as a Student-Athlete during his time at Chowan University.
In 2013, Deputy McDuffie signed to play professional basketball in Moscow, Russia for the 2013-2014 season. Deputy McDuffie went on to play 5 seasons of professional basketball in countries such as; Russia, Mongolia, Spain, Argentina, Bosnia, Peru and Nicaragua.
In 2018, McDuffie retired from professional basketball and began his career in Law Enforcement. McDuffie began his Law Enforcement career as a Juvenile Detention Officer. He then became a Corrections Officer. After 2 years, McDuffie was selected to attend the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office-Police Academy in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2020. Deputy McDuffie graduated from the Police Academy in April 2021 as Top-3 academically in his graduating class.
In 2022, Deputy McDuffie completed his Master’s Degree in Criminology from Troy University, in Troy, Alabama. Deputy McDuffie was also promoted from Patrol Deputy to Street Crimes/Fugitive Task Force Agent at the Morgan County Sheriff’s office. Deputy McDuffie is now the Sr. Deputy in his unit within the Sheriff’s Department.
In 2023, Deputy McDuffie was selected as an Adjunct Professor at Calhoun Community College in the Criminal Justice Department in Dual-Enrollment Program. Deputy McDuffie is currently assigned to Hartselle High School teaching Introduction to Criminal Justice 101.
In 2024, Deputy McDuffie was selected as an Adjunct-Professor in the Sociology Department, teaching Introduction to Criminology here at UAH.
