The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will award diplomas to the final groups comprising the class of 2025 during commencement ceremonies for the summer and fall semesters on Dec. 15 at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena. The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will award an estimated 889 degrees during commencement ceremonies on Monday, Dec. 15, at the Von Braun Center (VBC) Propst Arena. UAH is a part of The University of Alabama System.
“Graduation is one of those rare moments in life that manages to be both an ending and a beginning,” said Dr. Rhonda Gaede, associate provost for undergraduate education and associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
“A university offers a unique blend of intellectual stimulation, community and purpose that’s hard to find elsewhere. There’s something special about being immersed in an environment where curiosity is the currency. The power of curiosity propels our graduates through this transition.”
UAH will award diplomas during two ceremonies: The first at 10 a.m. will recognize graduates from the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences; the College of Engineering, and the College of Nursing. The 2 p.m. event will honor graduates from the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; the College of Business, and the College of Science.
The fall commencement ceremonies include students who completed degree requirements in the 2025 summer and fall semesters: approximately 187 in the summer and 702 in the fall. Estimated numbers of degrees to be presented from summer and fall combined are 555 bachelor’s degrees, 298 master’s degrees and 36 doctorates. Of the doctoral degrees, 24 were Ph.D.s and 12 were Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees.
