Biography

Dr. Ray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with The
University of Alabama in Huntsville. His research spans the boundaries of electron devices and systems
for addressing the challenges in data storage, security and reliability, and energy-efficient computing.
Before joining UAH, he worked in SanDisk Corporation, Milpitas, California, USA, developing 3D
NAND Flash memory technology. Dr. Ray holds more than 15 U.S. issued patents and published more
than 50 research papers in international journals and conferences. He is a recipient of NSF CAREER
Award, 2022 and a senior member of IEEE.
