On October 23rd the UAH campus will be going space-crazy with a day packed full of events to help students learn more and prepare for their careers. Multiple key companies in the space science field, such as Boeing, Dynetics, Jacobs, NASA, and Teledyne Brown Engineering will be represented throughout the day.
Space Day is focused on educating UAH students about various opportunities in the field and how to become integrated into the network. The day begins and ends with a variety of different panels throughout the day, focused on a wide range of topics. Mid-day events will include networking opportunities for students through a career fair, speed mentoring, and a resume workshop. Throughout the day students have the opportunity to learn from high-level executives from a number of major organizations.

Topic - Career Readiness: Discussion around technical skills that will be relevant for STEM workforce as NASA works toward deep space exploration
Chan Auditorium 9:40 – 11:00 am
Topic - Career Readiness: Discussion around transitioning from deeply technical role to management/leadership role; relative to deep space exploration, discuss current business environment and key skill sets for upcoming STEM workforce
Materials and Science Building – Room 113 9:40am – 11:00am
Topic – Career Readiness: Discussion around science disciplines and their role in enabling deep space exploration and/or other NASA missions

Accelerating Space Commercialization
Description: Discuss the key challenges facing existing companies and new entrants trying to gain a return on their space-related investments.
