The Humanities Center is one of seventeen research centers or institutes at UAH but the only center devoted to humanities programming and research funding. The Center’s Public Programming Grants fund lectures and symposia that enrich the intellectual and professional lives of UAH faculty and students, as well as the Huntsville community. Its research grants and matching funds afford faculty the ability to conduct research both domestically and abroad. The Center’s Eminent Scholar Endowment brings to campus dynamic visiting faculty and researchers who contribute to the intellectual growth of UAH faculty and students at UAH, increase the visibility of the humanities in the Huntsville, and highlight the value of the humanities to matters of public interest.
