We're here on campus to Protect and Serve.
The UAHuntsville Police Department is a fully empowered state law enforcement agency dedicated to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The department is an operational unit within Facilities and Operations. Each UAH officer, like their state and municipal counterparts, must meet the strict standards established by the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission. (APOSTC)
We are proud to serve the UAHuntsville community and are here to protect life and property, prevent and deter crime, provide crime prevention services and programs and facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians and vehicles on the campus. However, our success also depends on the partnership between the university community and the police. This partnership is an essential element in making our campus a safe place.
We hope this website will provide you with valuable information about our campus, the police department, and the services we offer.
