Welcome video message From Chief Snellgrove The UAH Police Department is committed to providing excellent service to the UAH community. Check out this welcome video from Assistant Vice President and Chief of Police Michael Snellgrove: Welcome to UAH from Chief Michael Snellgrove We're here on campus to Protect and Serve. The UAH Police Department is a fully empowered state law enforcement agency dedicated to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The department is a unit within the Finance and Administration division. Each UAH officer, like their state and municipal counterparts, must meet the strict standards established by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission. (APOSTC) We are proud to serve the UAH community and are here to protect life and property, prevent and deter crime, provide crime prevention services and programs and facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians and vehicles on the campus. However, our success also depends on the partnership between the university community and the police. This partnership is an essential element in making our campus a safe place. We hope this website will provide you with valuable information about our campus, the police department, and the services we offer.
