The ECE Department at UAH offers a comprehensive set of courses that span the Electrical and Computer Engineering disciplines. We offer accredited Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. We offer the Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity Engineering. We offer an undergraduate concentration in optics and photonics within the Electrical Engineering program. We also offer interdisciplinary Masters degrees in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity.

UAH is nestled within a high technology community that contains a large number of Fortune 500 corporations, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, and the Redstone Arsenal Army Base. Many of these corporate and government entities partner with us in research, cooperative education and student internships.

UAH offers all the amenities associated with a medium size traditional college environment with state-of-the-art student residence facilities, a wide range of student life organizations, and student athletics. Our faculty are dedicated and well recognized in their fields of expertise, our class sizes are small, and we are part of a comprehensive and diverse university.

Our programs are designed to not simply train students to be users of current technology but to educate them in a manner so that they understand the underlying principles through which this technology is based. This allows them to be innovators throughout their lives and become active contributors to the ever-changing technological landscape. Our graduates can be found throughout the world actively impacting industry, government, and academia.

The curricula for each of our programs is specifically designed to allow students to tailor their coursework to suit their individual needs while providing them with the necessary breadth of knowledge needed to perform interdisciplinary work.
