The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), part of The University of Alabama System, has named Dr. Michael P. Poll as vice provost for enrollment management. He will join the UAH community in February 2025.
Poll brings more than 30 years of higher education experience in a variety of senior leadership positions. “Michael specializes in data-driven decision making, student success, strategic enrollment planning, financial aid leveraging, internationalization, collaborative management, and a balanced approach to success and life,” said Dr. David A. Puleo, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at UAH. “This leadership and experience will be key in advancing UAH to the next phase of its enrollment journey.”
Over the course of his career, Poll has successfully overseen the offices of undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions, financial aid, institutional research, strategic planning, scholarships, registrar, marketing, international student services, veteran success, student accounts, orientation, testing services, and other departments.
Most recently, Poll served as vice president for enrollment management and institutional research at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga. He graduated from Menlo College in California, where he earned a B.S. in business management. He received an M.A. in educational administration from San Jose State University and then earned his Ed.D. degree in curriculum and leadership from Columbus State University.
