Biography

Mr. Thomas is a systems engineer for the Rotorcraft Systems Engineering and Simulation Center (RSESC) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). He holds a B.B.A. in Management from the University of North Alabama, a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from UAH, and is currently pursuing a M.S. at UAH. Mr. Thomas specializes in Model-Based Systems Engineering and has experience with SysML, UML, DoDAF, UPDM, and UAF modeling languages. He has recently participated in a project with the Apache and Aircraft Survivability Program Offices to complete a systems engineering analysis of modification of ground fire detection sensor on the Apache AH-64 platform with a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach, including structural, functional, and operational modeling, as well as an effort with the Vertical Lift Consortium that intends to inform Joint Multi-Role and Future Vertical Lift. His research includes the integration and synchronization of systems modeling tools with domain-specific tools to create an integrated single source of system information.
