The University of Alabama in Huntsville has been awarded the 2026 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) Award from the National Procurement Institute (NPI), marking the first time UAH has received this national recognition. The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in public procurement through innovation, professionalism, productivity, and the consistent application of best practices.

This achievement reflects the collaborative work of Procurement & Business Services and campus partners who supported training, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts across the university. “This recognition belongs to the entire campus community,” said Carla Byrd, Senior Director of Procurement & Business Services. “It reflects the commitment and partnership that made this milestone possible.”

Congratulations and thank you to all who contributed to this achievement!
