Dear UAH Community,
Ronnie Hebert, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, has shared that he will be departing from The University of Alabama in Huntsville later this summer for similar position within the higher education industry after eight years of dedicated service. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Hebert has played a key role in enhancing the student experience by fostering a vibrant campus community and strengthening support services across our non-academic units. Prior to serving as Vice President, he held the role of Dean of Students.
I am proud of the many successful initiatives Dr. Hebert has implemented during his time at UAH. The renovation projects at the Conference Training Center and the Fitness Center, along with the newly built Career Services Interview Suite and Esports Lounge, have strengthened Charger spirit and enhanced the student experience. His leadership and perspective have also been instrumental in our ongoing efforts to make Greek life, residence halls, dining services and student health services stronger for our campus community.
Dr. Hebert’s last day will be July 10. As we move through this transition, Dr. Leo will announce the succession plan for the Student Affairs Division.
Sincerely,
Charles L. Karr
President
