Currently, one in five UAH undergraduates are the first in their family to pursue a bachelor’s degree. To better support these students, we are working to identify the first-generation graduates among our own faculty, staff, and graduate students. We have received 116 responses so far, but we need a higher participation rate to ensure our data is accurate.
Whether you identify as first-generation or not, we ask that all faculty, staff, and graduate students to take two minutes to complete this brief survey.
If you have already completed this survey, please disregard this message and thank you for your participation!
Why your response matters:
- Visibility: Role models make a difference. Showing students that our campus is filled with successful first-gen professionals helps them see their own potential.
- Support: A fuller understanding of our community helps us celebrate the unique work it takes to earn a degree.
- Resources: This data is essential for securing grants and external funding. By participating, you help us provide the concrete evidence needed to bring more student success resources to UAH.
Thank you for joining us in uplifting our first-generation Chargers!
Sincerely,
