Dear faculty and staff,

As you know, NavigateUAH—part of our All In for Student Success initiative—is designed to make it easier for students to connect with the right support at the right time. By bringing together faculty insight, advising, and student support services in one place, the platform helps us respond more quickly and clearly to student needs.

Several campus partners have been piloting the platform this semester to better understand how it supports student success and where we can continue to refine the experience. Here are some early findings, as well as a roadmap of what’s next, for the NavigateUAH rollout.

Save the Date: Student Success Summit

UAH will host its inaugural Student Success Summit on Thursday, August 13, ahead of the fall semester. The summit will bring together faculty, staff, and campus support units to share updates, align our shared goals, and strengthen the collaborative approach to student success that defines All In. Save the date and be on the lookout for more information.

Pilot program insights

Advisors, the Dean of Students, the Academic Success Advocacy Program (ASAP), and the Student Success Center (SSC) are currently using NavigateUAH to coordinate outreach and case management.

So far this semester, the platform has supported:

  • 4,525 student contacts/appointments
  • 25,663 emails exchanged with students
  • 211 coordinated referrals

Each of these interactions helps us better understand the student experience and respond more effectively.

In addition, 1,600 students are actively using the Navigate student platform through our pilot with the Colleges of Nursing and Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Their feedback is directly shaping improvements to the platform, including messaging and usability enhancements.

What’s next

All colleges will be introduced to the platform in Fall 2026. You’ll see NavigateUAH continue to expand across campus over the next year.

  • Training: Faculty and staff training will continue through the fall semester. Dedicated in-person training opportunities and self-paced guides will help you leverage the platform as a powerful tool in supporting student success. View those resources on the NavigateUAH Google site.
  • Expanded support: Housing and Residential Life and the Office of the Registrar will come on board this summer, with additional offices joining in phases.
    • If your office works directly with students and you’d like to explore how NavigateUAH might support that work, email navigate@uah.edu to discuss.
  • Orientation integration: Incoming students will be introduced to the platform during “Tech Checks” led by Orientation Leaders, so they know from the start how to find advisors and campus resources.
  • Future Enhancements: We’re also working with the Registrar’s Office to explore a one-click registration experience through NavigateUAH, potentially beginning with Summer 2027 registration.
