Students often tell us the hardest part of getting help is knowing where to start. The challenge at UAH isn’t a lack of support — it’s connecting students to the right help at the right time, before small problems become barriers.

NavigateUAH, part of our All In for Student Success initiative, is designed to do just that. The platform helps bring together faculty insight, advising, and student support services to help us respond to student needs more quickly and clearly.

Watch the video below for a glimpse into the wide support for this initiative across our campus.

Our goals are simple:

  • Make support easier to access
  • Help faculty and staff respond when it matters most
  • Strengthen retention and persistence through better coordination

Students shouldn’t have to guess who supports them or how to reach those people.

What this means for faculty

NavigateUAH is built to support you — not add to your workload. You can focus on teaching, and if a student needs support, others can step in.

Faculty will be able to easily submit alerts when a student may need support, without needing to look up A-numbers, and can also share kudos to recognize effort and progress. These signals ensure students are seen and supported, while allowing you to stay focused on teaching.

What this means for staff

Advisors, the Dean of Students, Academic Success Advocacy Program (ASAP), and the Student Success Center (SSC) are already using NavigateUAH as part of a pilot program to coordinate outreach and case management. This semester alone, the platform has supported thousands of student interactions, helping staff respond more effectively and build a clearer picture of student needs.
