Dear UAH Faculty and Staff,
As the April 24, 2026 deadline approaches, we want to make sure you have the resources and support you need to meet the new federal digital accessibility standards. These apply to all digital content we create and share including course materials, documents, and other digital resources. To get started, we encourage you to complete the Launch module in Mission Accessible. It's a great starting point for understanding what we have to do and why it matters; it should take about 45 minutes to complete.
Whether you are just beginning or already in the thick of it, the ETLC is here for you. We are hosting a series of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) sessions where you can come work on remediating your documents, courses, or other digital materials — with our team right there to assist you with any questions you encounter.Upcoming BYOD Sessions (SST 154):
- Friday, March 27 at 1:00 PM — drop in, no RSVP needed
- Friday, April 3rd at 9 am and 2 pm
- Friday, April 17th at 9 am and 2 pm
- Friday, April 24th at 9 am and 2 pm
Please RSVP on this form for the April 3rd, 17th, and 24th sessions so we can plan accordingly. We have heard from many of you who are working hard to remediate, and we appreciate the energy and commitment! We know accessibility work can feel daunting, but you don't have to tackle it alone. The ETLC team is here to support you every step of the way. We hope to see you at an upcoming session!Warm regards,
