The UAH Trailblaze Challenge Team invites UAH students, faculty and staff to join them in support of Make-A-Wish® Alabama and its mission to help children. A free information session – including free pizza – will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, at noon in the UAH Student Services Building (SSB), Room 313.
Participants will train alongside an expert hike support team for 12 weeks, preparing to complete a 26.3-mile hike in one day along the breathtaking Pinhoti Trail in Talladega National Forest. Throughout the experience, hikers will also raise funds to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses across Alabama.
The 2025 UAH team raised more than $20,000 to support the cause, and they aim to surpass that goal this year. 2026 is the 10th anniversary of the Make-A-Wish® Alabama Trailblaze Challenge, its largest annual fundraiser.
Learn more about Make-A-Wish® Alabama’s Trailblaze Challenge and RSVP for the info session at alabamatrailblaze.org. If you can’t make the UAH session, other sessions are available.
