HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Feb. 7, 2014) - Calling all students in grades five through twelve at public and private schools across North Alabama! Registration is open now through Feb. 14 for the 60th Annual North Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (NARSEF). This year's NARSEF will be held March 11-14 at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
NARSEF offers an opportunity for students to showcase their independent research to the public and compete for a chance to attend the Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF), which will be held April 3-5. Winners of the ASEF will then continue on to the Intel® International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which will be held May 11-16 in Los Angeles.
Last year's NARSEF comprised 346 winning projects from 30 public and private schools in Northern Alabama. Of these, 106 were selected to compete in the ASEF, and three finalists were selected to represent NARSEF at the Intel® ISEF.
