Thesis & Dissertation Manual .pdf UAH LaTeX Thesis Files UAH LaTeX Thesis Files provided by Mr. Matthew Turner, UAH Modeling & Simulation Department. The year 2008 was the last date the Graduate Office made major changes to the thesis template. Use the Masters (2008) or the PHD (2008), depending on your program. The .rar files can be uncompressed with a free program called WinRAR. Explanation The main file is thesis.tex ... it controls all of the others. The file "uahdis.sty" is the style file that Mr. Turner wrote. The file thesis.pdf was written using the template, and it describes the template (like a "read me" file). The template forces a file structure which works well for writing a thesis/dissertation, and encourages the writer to be a little organized in the way that he/she assembles the document. If you prefer a free-form template, then this one might not be for you. This is an organized file-structure-driven template. LaTeX software recommendation: Mr. Turner highly recommends the LaTeX variant called, "MikTeX" and the LaTeX editor called "WinEdt".
