UAH Freshman Summer School Incentive Program
Want to get a jump-start on fall classes and save some money at the same time? New for 2014-15, the UAH Freshman Summer School Incentive Program allows all first-time, full-time admitted students to take classes this summer at the reduced fall semester per credit hour rate. To qualify, all you need to do is contact the Office of Admissions and change your admission term from fall to summer. You must be a full-time student (12 or more credit hours) for the fall semester.
Here is an example of the way this works: If you take a three-credit course in the summer, you will pay the current 2013-14 tuition fees up front ($1,083). You then enroll for 12 credit hours in the fall. You will pay tuition fees on those 12 hours at the 2014-15 rate ($4,156). This would result in a combined total of 15 credit hours for the summer and fall semesters. We will then compare what you paid in total tuition costs for the summer and fall classes ($5,239) to the cost for 15 credit hours at the 2014-15 rate ($4,579). This would result in a refund to you of $660.

If you are a UAH Merit Tuition Scholarship recipient, you may use a portion of your 2014-15 scholarship for these summer courses. For more information, please visit the UAH Scholarship website.
