This event will be a fundraising tournament as well as bake sale and food drive to raise money for the victims of recent flooding events in Louisiana. As many of you know, the flooding in our neighbor state is considered to be one of the worst natural disasters since hurricane Sandy in 2012. Many people have been dislocated from their homes, in severe need of food and shelter. The UAH chapter of the American Meteorological Society hopes to help make a small contribution to the relief efforts of the Red Cross by hosting a disc golf tournament on campus. Entry prices will be $10 a head, and the additional donation of any canned goods is appreciated! Visit the UAH AMS website or Facebook page for more info.
