Whether Scuba Diving is something you’ve always wanted to try once, or you have aspirations to become fully certified and make diving a part of your life, a Discover Scuba class is for you! This class is being offered to UAH students and faculty/staff for a discounted price of only $50!

This event will introduce the student to the amazing world of Scuba Diving. We will begin with a short pool-side class where you will learn some basic physics associated with diving, the “do’s and dont’s” of a safe dive, and how the equipment works. We will then don our dive gear and head into the water. Once in the water, we will practice some basic scuba skills so you can see what kind of skills are expected of you to become a certified diver. Then you’ll have the opportunity to spend the remainder of the time swimming in the pool, getting familiar with the equipment, and enjoying seeing the underwater world in a new way.
