Women's Equal Pay Day marks the date in 2024 when women's wages catch up to men's from the previous year. In 2024, it will take over 15 months for women to earn what men do in 12. Full-time women workers are paid 84 cents for every $1 men make, and overall, women make 74 cents for every $1 earned by men.

Join faculty and students from Sociology, Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Justice and Equity Studies, and more as we learn about the gender pay gap and efforts to close it.

Special Guest Dr. Jessica Calarco will discuss her new book Holding it Together: How Women Became America's Safety Net and respond to student questions.

30 students will receive a copy of Calarco's new book "Holding it Together"
