In Limit/less, an exhibition of fibers work by Hannah and Blake Sanders, crocheted expanses juxtapose domesticity and over-consumption of natural resources as complementary metaphors, rife with drama that can leave an impact far from home. The works incorporate proofs and used clothes and linens from home, friends & family, even strangers—who become unwitting collaborators. The resulting Footprints document the ephemera of lives lived, literally linking contributors together, emphasizing humanity’s mutual history and considered future. This is consistent with their belief that building community increases potential for a society focused on collaboration and shared success in an uncertain ecological tomorrow.
