A company with members from The University of Alabama in Huntsville is among 12 selected to compete in the 2013 Alabama Launchpad Start-Up Competition. Zenoware, a software product company, offers its Custom Software Management Suite (CSMS). The company says its product can be used for any enterprise software development process to reduce or eliminate budget overruns, on time delivery, and eliminate costly after-sales maintenance. Competing teams pitch their company’s product to a panel of judges on March 4 in Birmingham in an effort to advance to the next round. Launchpad awards total $100,000. Competition continues through May. The effort is a program of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama to promote, reward and increase the pipeline of high-growth, innovative ventures that have the potential to grow and thrive in the state.
