Acuff has been with the university for nearly 20 years. He has 371 wins while at UAH and ranks third in the Gulf South Conference in wins.

I really enjoy my interaction with the players and seeing them grow as young men during their stay at UAH.

"I am humbled to be nominated for the UAH Leadership Award, and I am privileged to work at such a tremendous institution and to work with a fine group of people," Acuff said. I am thankful for the confidence that was shown through this nomination."

When he is not coaching, Acuff enjoys spending time with his family. "I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Kelly, and two children that we are very proud of, Will and Molly.
