The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) named Danielle L. Hillman-Robbins as university bursar, effective September 19. Robbins comes to UAH from Medical Management Services in Ridgeland, MS, where she served as accountant/bookkeeper for the past two years.

Robbins succeeds Winnet H. Leonard, who retired last May after serving as university bursar for nearly 40 years.

"Danielle is a welcome addition to our bursar office team, and she has already had a positive impact in several key areas. Her expertise and customer service orientation are a great match for the position," said Robert Leonard, Associate Vice President, UAH Finance and Business Services.

"I am so excited to be a part of the university community and to bring my knowledge and experience to help us enrich the student experience while maximizing our resources at UAH," said Hillman-Robbins.

Additional professional accounting experience for Hillman-Robbins includes business officer (School of Music), and assistant manager of student accounts in the bursar’s office at The University of Memphis (UM).

At UAH, Hillman-Robbins will be responsible for the operation of the Office of the University Bursar, which includes billing, collections, and accounting for accounts receivable, student accounts, and other general receivables of the university and related revenues.

Hillman-Robbins received an AAS in accounting from Hinds Community College (Raymond, MS), and earned a BBA and MBA from UM.
