UAH hosts ACU ice cream fundraiser for area children

The ACU on the UAH campus is selling a variety of ice cream treats for $ 1. The fundraiser benefits Secret Meals For Hungry Children. The ACU project serves nearly 500 elementary school children weekly in North Alabama.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is hosting an ice cream treats sale at the campus branch of the Alabama Credit Union through November.

The proceeds benefit Secret Meals For Hungry Children, a program that provides weekend food packs for children in need throughout the school year. Alabama Credit Union (ACU) created the program in 2008 with one goal in mind — decreasing the number of children in Alabama facing hunger over the weekend.

The ACU project serves nearly 500 elementary school children weekly in North Alabama.

The list of schools include:

  • Madison Elementary
  • Horizon Elementary
  • Mill Creek Elementary
