The College of Nursing master’s degree program at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) received the second highest marks in the state of Alabama in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings of nursing graduate programs released this week. The program was third in Alabama in the 2023 rankings. UAH is a part of The University of Alabama System.
Dr. Karen Frith, dean, UAH College of Nursing, said she’s pleased to see the master’s degree program receive the recognition it deserves:
“The College of Nursing provides student-centered education for nurses to become strategic leaders, advanced practice providers and nurse educators. These programs provide career advancement by educating nurses with new knowledge, skills and values to lead health care now and in the future. The value of a UAH education is clear – excellent programs designed for working nurses at a reasonable cost.”
Nationally, UAH is ranked No. 85 (tie) out of 169 schools in Best Nursing Schools: Master's.
In a separate U.S. News ranking, the UAH Doctor of Nursing Practice program was listed nationally at No. 110 (tie) out of 156 in Best Nursing Schools: Doctor of Nursing Practice.
