The once-a-year United Way fundraising campaign to support 33 local community agencies will be in full drive beginning this week.
United Way is the leading community organization to make a positive change in the lives of people with need. United Way advances the common good by creating opportunities for all. The agency’s focus is on education, health and financial stability – the building blocks for a good quality of life and a strong community. UAH is the leading educational institution in Huntsville and Madison County with more than $50,000 being raised for people with real needs in our area.
You will be called on again to help. Please do your part by responding in three ways – Advocate. Give. Volunteer.
Advocate – Talk to your co-workers and encourage them to be a participant in the United Way campaign.
Give – When you are contacted to fill out a form, write a check or sign up for payroll deduction, please give.
Volunteer – A strong grass-roots effort is the best way to have an effective United Way campaign. Please volunteer. Maria Heflin, Academic Coordinator in the College of Science, will be spearheading the UAH effort this year. Please contact her to volunteer.
