Biography

Megan Gowan serves as an Elementary Science Specialist with AMSTI-UAH, where she supports high-quality science instruction and professional learning for educators across the region. She earned her B.A. in Elementary Education, with a kindergarten endorsement, from Purdue University and is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). Throughout her career in education, Megan has taught in both traditional elementary classroom settings and as a STEM educator in Madison City Schools. In this role, she played an integral part in the development, implementation, and growth of the district's STEM program, helping to create innovative learning opportunities that foster student engagement and achievement. Megan is a Google Certified Educator and has demonstrated leadership through active service on a variety of district committees and educational initiatives. She has been actively involved with AMSTI since its inception, integrating it into her classroom and as a trainer for other teachers.
