Plan Year 2016 Annual Open Enrollment for medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), begins on Wednesday, October 21 and ends on November 13, 2015 for all benefit eligible employees of UAH. Changes outside of Open Enrollment can only be made due to a life event. Open Enrollment Key Factors OptumRx will replace Prime Therapeutics as the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for the University effective January 1, 2016. More information regarding OptumRx is below. You must re-enroll each year to continue participation in the FSA plan. If no action is taken, your FSA and/or DCA participation will end December 31, 2016. Maximum Annual Elections: Medical: $2,500 per year (mandated under Healthcare Reform) Dependent Care: $5,000 per year ($2,500 for single filers per IRS) You may carry-over unused health FSA balance from 2015 to 2016. You may carry-over up to $500 The health FSA money carried over to the next year may be used only for claims incurred within the new plan year. Remember Debit card feature allows you to pay for eligible health care expenses. Deadline for submitting claims for plan year 2015 is 90 days after the plan year ends.
