Transfer, Second Degree & Non-Traditional Students Our Orientation Program is designed just for students like you. We'll provide you with the information you need to make a smooth and successful transition to UAH. All new, degree-seeking students are required to attend an Orientation. At Orientation you will: Meet with your academic advisor to discuss transfer credit and academic expectations and register for classes Arrange for on-campus housing (if needed) Get your Charger Card (Student ID) Discover tools to enable your academic success at UAH Complete needed immunization forms with our Student Health Center Explore opportunities to get involved on-campus Learn about the campus and traditions Meet and socialize with current and new students Learn more about Veterans benefits (if applicable) STEP 1: DECIDE YOUR ORIENTATION DATE All new, degree-seeking are required to attend an Orientation session. Please keep in mind all sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by academic major. Changes in your selected Orientation date need to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Spring Orientation Dates: Thursday, November 17, 2016 Thursday, January 5, 2017 *Note: These dates are for students planning to attend for the spring 2017 semester. Summer and fall 2017 dates will be announced in the spring. STEP 2: MEET WITH YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR Transfer students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor to discuss transfer credit and class selection prior to attending Orientation. LOCATE YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR STEP 3: REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION Students and guests can register for Orientation below. The cost of Orientation for spring entry students is $50. This fee will be charged to each student's account along with their tuition and student fees. Student accounts should be paid by the first day of class each semester. The cost for each family member or guest to attend is $25 and can be paid through online registration. Online registration and fees are not required for guests under 18 years of age. Please note that Orienation fees are non-refundable. To register you will need your Student Identification Number on your acceptance letter (begins with "A".) Need help locating it?
